Today my daughter came over and arranged books and art pieces in the beautiful wall unit Dave made for me. The shelves turned out to be much more than I expected. Dave's attention to detail in matching grains and his expertise in finishing are marks of a true professional. I will be telling everyone about his amazing work. I've had many experiences in my life as an engineer, consumer and businessman. Not all of them good. In fact, I can honestly say that receiving the kind of product and/or service that I expected has, quite frankly, been a rare experience. I think most people can relate. Well, Dave's Joint has been a breath of fresh air when it comes to service and quality. Dave redid my kitchen cabinets and his workmanship and service was top-notch, start to finish. I gave him the go-ahead on a Sunday, the wood was ordered and showed up the following Thursday, and all 17 doors were constructed by that Saturday evening. Excellent quality and price and his commitment to his work, to the customer, and to getting it done ahead of expectations is extremely rare these days. You cannot go wrong with Dave. ~ Warren G.

Dave has an amazing way with constructing beautiful pieces out of wood. He has recently made new kitchen cabinets, a closet organizer, two bookshelves, and window sills with trim for my home. With each project, Dave chooses the absolute best wood, was timely, and built the pieces with unmatched quality! We are very fortunate to have Dave in the valley. Dave has made several cabinets for my wife and I over the years, and his work is impeccable. Back in the 90's, I asked him to make some cabinets for my garage here in Northern California, and when he showed up to deliver and hang them, I was shocked at the quality. Remember, these were for my garage, and they were raised-panel cabinets make of red oak. Just beautiful! I have used them for over a decade, and they have held up beautifully without any problems. Dave made stackable "cubes" and custom-sized drawers (sort of a repositionable wall unit) for my craft room. I'm very impressed with the quality and functionality of the unit. He went the extra mile to package each of the pieces so they could be safely transported (a couple hundred miles). They were perfect when they arrived! ~ Laura R.
Struggling to find some original words to add, but so far agree with every single comment above. But, somehow, Dave managed to turn an enclosed small space with dark cabinets into a light and bright "feature" with my own "work of art" 8' bar counter and a glass doored showcase for some of my lovely and colourful Zimbabwe dishes and my mums cup collection. I would never have believed this transition was possible in such a short time - and in "Slowdona" as well. Being a bit "visually" challenged in predicting how things could turn out, I was especially grateful for Dave's guidance into the unknown territory of "remodeling". Couldn't be happier or more pleased with the way his custom, creative work has honoured the special integrity of design and existing wood and stone in my home through his love and understanding of how wood speaks to him. Now the problem is going to be keeping him away from all my friends so I will still be able to book his services for some more projects! But, as Dave proves, the more the merrier. Wish I could post a few photos. All my friends are SOOOOOO impressed. And I love my new "hang out" space (which seems to be twice as roomier than before).
